Sampling instruction - eDNA

eDNA of japanese knotweed and giant knotweed in soil
Equipment
- suitable
tool – eg metal spoons, disposable wooden spoons, planterspade
- 250
ml plastic jar or zip bag (can be ordered from ALS)
- cooler
bag with ice packs (can be ordered from ALS)
- if
necessary: water or wet wipes
Sampling
- IMPORTANT!
Use a new spoon or clean tools between sampling.
- Sampling is
suitable for both undisturbed and excavated soil.
- We
recommend taking several samples for excavation masses or for larger
areas. Please avoid pooling samples for larger areas.
- Soil from
0-10 cm deep is recommended whenever possible.
- Transfer
soil to a 250ml jar or zip bag. A couple of spoons per sample is enough
(20-100 grams).
- Put samples
in cooler bag with ice packs and completed order form.

possible after sampling to:
